Acquires Dover Publications
Courier has finalized
the acquisition of Dover Publications, Inc., a renowned, privately held New York
publisher of special-interest books. Founded in 1941, Dover is one of the nation's
most successful and consistently profitable niche publishers. Dover has more than
7,000 in-print titles in specialty categories ranging from military history to
paper dolls, and from musical scores to typographic fonts. Courier has manufactured
the majority of Dover's books for more than 50 years. Dover
sells its products through a diverse range of wholesalers and distributors around
the world and in all major American bookstore chains, independent booksellers,
children's stores, craft stores, and gift shops in museums and historic sites.
It also sells directly to consumers through proprietary catalogs. Dover,
which has approximately 170 employees, will operate as an autonomous subsidiary.
Dover's current senior executive team will continue to manage the business.
Courier's core business
will continue to be manufacturing high-quality books. For

Right
From the Start Tip QuarkXPress
users, take note: It is important that you maintain your files in the version
of QuarkXPress that was used to create them. Starting a file in version 3.32 and
later saving it in version 4.1 will cause you to loose trapping information. And
there are other problems including subtle shifts in margins during imagesetting. For
more tips, please visit www.rightfromthestart.com
