Electrician/Control Systems Technician (8PM – 8AM, three 12-hour shifts & every other Sunday as necessary)

Responsibilities include electrical component installation, modification, troubleshooting, repair and preventive maintenance for printing and binding equipment as well as building systems. Must be able to interpret electrical specifications and schematics. Knowledge of PLC equipment preferred. In this role you will assist outside contractors, manufacturing departments and corporate engineering with projects as needed. Five years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with printing & binding equipment is required. Position requires a High School diploma or GED and the ability to follow work instruction and effectively communicate with employees. Electrical license preferred. Candidates must be quality minded, self-motivated, a team player, have the desire to work in a fast paced environment and move up in the organization. Candidates must also be willing to cross train and work overtime when necessary.

Manufacturing Production Assistant (2nd shift, 4 PM – 12 AM)

The Manufacturing Production Assistant will be part of a fast-paced production team responsible for assisting in the operation of the ast process of the book manufacturing process of binding and completing finishing touches on books such as inserting disks. The Manufacturing Production Assistant will work closely with the bindery shift supervisor ensuring work is done accurately and timely and with the proper staffing. While working alongside other workers in packing books into boxes for shipping and filling pockets for assembling books, the manufacturing production assistant will ensure proper staffing based on jobs and check quality on product being produced. The manufacturing production assistant will also operate the shrink wrap machine, three hole punch machine and label making machine. Inspect and approve work completed which will also include ensuring accurate recording of job labor through keypunch data entry of employees. Training new employees or current employees on new processes or procedures. Prior experience in manufacturing both on the manufacturing floor and office is important as is prior experience in directing the work activities of other employees. Intermediate computer skills. Must be able to use Microsoft Word & Excel. Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of employees. High School Diploma or GED required. Attention to detail is a must as is excellent organizational skills and multi-tasking skills. Must be able to lift and carry up to 10 pounds on frequent basis. Must be willing to work overtime as dictated by workload.

Material Handler (2nd Shift, 2 PM – 10 PM)

Verify count and product type delivered to shipping and loading of trailers for delivery to customers. Perform count of finished jobs tendered by bindery against job ticket and matches carton labels, skid tags to job ticket and bindery count. Prepare shipping manifests and signature count sheets and submit to Traffic Coordinator. Secure product on pallet to be shipped per customer specifications. Load trailers with product, following all safety requirements. Perform daily safety inspection of fork trucks and maintain daily inspection logs. High School Diploma or GED along with prior experience driving a fork truck is required. Ability to complete basic math problems accurately and make simple judgments without assistance is necessary. Must be willing to cross train and work overtime as needed. Previous experience with shipping software such as Kewill and/or Fedex & UPS systems is helpful.

Baler/Skidder (1st Shift, 8 AM – 4 PM and 2nd Shift, 4 PM – 12 AM)

Feed bundles to gathering equipment, skidding packages of printed material or individual books at end of binder lines and other Bindery duties as required. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, and have the desire to work in a fast paced environment and to move up in the organization. High school diploma or GED required.

General Bindery Operator (1st Shift, 8 AM – 4 PM)

Operator position involves set up, operating and maintaining binders and related equipment. This position is a lead role position and must be able to direct the activities of a crew and understand the importance of meeting production and quality standards. Mechanical abilities, intermediate math skills, including the ability to read a ruler, and basic computer skills are required. Prior bindery experience is helpful. Position requires a High School diploma or GED. Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and fractions is necessary along with the ability to read and use a ruler. Applicant must also be willing to cross train, work overtime when necessary and work in various job positions based on workload.

Kendallville, Indiana (located approx. 25 minutes northeast of Fort Wayne)

Bindery Operators (12 hour night shift, 3day/4 day schedule)

3-5 years experience operating stitchers, binders, trimmers, gatherers, or sewers in a book-manufacturing environment. High quality, short run operation. Web Press Operators and Assistant Operators (12 hour night shift, 3day/4 day schedule)

3-5 years experience operating Hantcho or Man Roland printing presses, preferably in the book manufacturing operation. High quality, short run operation. Terre Haute, Indiana (located one hour west of Indianapolis, IN)



Press Feeder Operator

Seeking candidate for feeder operator position on offset printing press. Duties include, but not limited to, loading paper into feeder end of press, applying ink to press units, assisting press operator with weekly maintenance and other duties as needed. This postion requires occasional heavy lifting.
