Inbound Event Triggers

Automations Designer supports a variety of methods to trigger an automation. Courier ingests inbound events such as tracking or user identify, and persists them such that they can later get used as a trigger.

Courier Inbound

CourierJS SDK interfaces with our track API to send client-side application events to Courier that can be then used in an Automations trigger node.

Segment

With a Segment third-party integration both track and identify are automatically ingested using the Segment trigger node in Automations. Refer to Segment use cases for more information.

Rudderstack

With an existing Rudderstack third-party integration both track and identify are automatically ingested into the Rudderstack trigger node in Automations.
