What Amply is
Amply (SendAmply) is an email delivery service that routes transactional and marketing email through its platform, handling sending infrastructure and analytics.
Courier sits in front of it as one API, a visual editor, journeys, and every other channel, so you keep Amply for delivery and build multi-channel notifications on top.
You need a Courier account and your own Amply account and Access Token.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use Amply with Courier?
Yes. Amply (SendAmply) connects to Courier as your email delivery provider. Courier routes transactional email through Amply while letting you design content once and orchestrate it alongside other channels from one API.
Do I still need my own Amply account?
Yes. Amply remains your email sender, so you keep your Amply account. Courier does not resell Amply; it authenticates with your credentials and hands each message to Amply for delivery.
What do I need to connect Amply to Courier?
Three values: your Amply Access Token, a default From Email, and a From Name. Enter them in Courier's Amply provider settings, and Courier can start routing email through Amply's Mail Send API.
How does Courier know which email address to send to?
Each recipient needs an email address on their Courier profile under the email field. Courier reads that value, or an inline recipient email, and passes it to Amply as the destination for the send.
Can I override the sender name or add attachments per message?
Yes. Set message.providers.amply.override on a send to change values like fromName, or include an attachments array with filename, contentType, and base64 data. The override replaces what Courier sends to Amply.
How do I send an email through Amply once it is connected?
Trigger Courier's Send API or a Journey with your notification content. Courier renders the template, routes it to Amply as the email channel, and Amply delivers, so you build content once and reuse it.
Is Courier a replacement for Amply?
No. Amply still delivers the email; Courier sits in front of it. Courier adds the Send API, Journeys, and Design Studio, plus SMS, push, and Courier Inbox, orchestrating Amply as one provider.
