Connect it in minutes

An admin adds Plivo once on the Integrations page in Courier. Once connected, anyone on your team can send SMS through Plivo and add push or an in-app inbox whenever they need them.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use Plivo with Courier?

Yes. Courier connects to Plivo as an SMS provider, so you send text messages through Plivo using Courier's Send API while Plivo stays the underlying carrier connection. You can add channels like email or push later on the same API.

Do I still need my own Plivo account?

Yes. Courier does not resell Plivo or provide messaging capacity, so you keep your own Plivo account and its sender number. Courier authenticates as you and sends through that account on your behalf.

What do I need to connect Plivo to Courier?

Your Plivo Auth ID, Auth Token, and a From number. Enter them on the Plivo integration page in the Courier dashboard and save, and Courier then routes SMS through your Plivo account.

How should I format phone numbers for Plivo in Courier?

Use E.164 with country code and no spaces or dashes, stored as the phone_number field on the Courier recipient profile, for example +12025550156. Courier passes that value to Plivo as the destination number.

Can I see Plivo delivery status in Courier?

Yes. Courier polls Plivo's API for delivery status and records the result in your Courier message logs, so you can confirm whether each SMS was delivered without opening the Plivo console separately.

Can I set Plivo provider-level overrides in Courier?

No. The Plivo integration does not support provider-level overrides in Courier, so you cannot override Plivo API fields per message. Sending is driven by your saved credentials and the recipient profile.

Is Courier a replacement for Plivo?

No. Courier sits in front of Plivo, which still delivers the SMS over its carrier network. Courier adds the Send API, Design Studio, and Journeys, plus push and Courier Inbox, so you orchestrate SMS alongside other channels.
