Resend + Courier

Turn Resend into a multi-channel notification system

Design and automate every message with Courier. Keep Resend for email delivery, then add SMS, push, and an in-app inbox from one API.

Overview

What Resend is

Resend is a developer-first email API for sending transactional and marketing email, built by the team behind React Email.

Courier sits in front of it as one API, a visual editor, journeys, and every other channel, so you keep Resend for delivery and build multi-channel notifications on top.

You need a Courier account and your own Resend account and API key.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can I use Resend with Courier?

Yes. Resend is a supported email provider in Courier. You configure it once, then send through Resend using Courier's Send API, while Courier adds template design, Journeys, and other channels like SMS and push.

Do I still need my own Resend account?

Yes. You bring your own Resend account and API key; Courier does not resell Resend. Resend stays your email delivery service, and Courier routes messages through it rather than replacing it.

What do I need to connect Resend to Courier?

A Resend API key and a From Address. You paste the key into Courier's Resend integration page and set a From Address such as noreply@yourdomain.com that Resend will send from.

How do I set up the Resend integration in Courier?

Create an API key in Resend's API Keys section, paste it into Courier's Resend integration page, add your From Address, then click Add Integration and Save. After that, Courier can send email through Resend.

Does my sender and recipient email need to be verified or set?

Yes. The From Address must be a sender you have verified in Resend. On the recipient side, Courier needs each user's email stored as email on their profile before it can deliver through Resend.

Can I override the Resend request or send attachments?

Yes. Provider overrides let you set parameters on Resend's /emails endpoint, override config values like apiKey and fromAddress, and include attachments as base64-encoded file content.

Is Courier a replacement for Resend?

No. Courier sits in front of Resend, and Resend still delivers the email. Courier adds the Send API, Journeys, and Design Studio, plus other channels like SMS, push, and Courier Inbox.
